ACN presents Tinubu’s wife as senatorial candidate

LAGOS Central Senatorial candidate, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, was on Moday formally presented to leaders of the Action Congress of Nigeria.

At a meeting with members of the senatorial district committee of the party, which held at the conference hall of the Iru Local Government in Lagos State, of Lagos, Engr. Adeyeye, ACN Deputy National Chairman, Mr. Adeyeye, said the party could not have provided a better candidate than tinubu’s wife.

He also said that the candidate possessed enviable qualifications that made the party proud of her.

The ACN Leader (South-West), Prince Oluyole Olusi, who coordinated the meeting, then called on the candiate to present her manifesto. He explained that it was important for members of the party to know what their representative would do for them at the Senate.

Responding in Yoruba, Tinubu thanked the leaders for their endorsement of her candidacy. She promised to represent their wishes at the Senate.

She said, “For me, I can recall that we all, everybody, know how the country is. But despite that, I will not go there to give you excuses.

“I will not be a ‘child’ that forgets where she came from. I know that you have all observed and seen that I have stayed home for too long; so you want me to be dutifully busy.

“I hereby call on you all to help me, help me in the sense that I cannot know everything that is going on all around us.”
