PDP faults Buhari over Lagos metro project

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council on Thursday faulted the Congress for Progressive Change presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on the cancellation of the Lagos metro line project.

The council, in a statement in Abuja by its Director of Media and Publicity, Mallam Aba Dabo, described Buhari’s action as short-sighted.

Buhari, had on Wednesday in Lagos explained that in 1983 he cancelled the project, initiated by former Governor of Lagos, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, because he did not want to take more loans or devalue the naira.

He explained that when he got to power as a military head of state, the economy had been badly plundered and corruption had been entrenched in every sector.

According to him, it is mischievous to tag him an enemy of Lagosians because he cancelled the project.

But the PCC said, “After almost 30 years of silence, General Muhammadu Buhari has finally found his voice and provided a specious political excuse for his disastrous cancellation of the Lagos metro line project.”

It noted that Buhari’s spokesman, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, had earlier said the former head of state knew nothing about the cancellation.

The PDP stated, “We are appalled by this singular act (the cancellation) that has compounded the traffic problems of Lagos, the seat of Nigeria’s economy.”

Swimming Federation shops for N300 million

The Nigeria Swimming Federation is looking for a whopping N300 million for the successful hosting of the 2011 African Junior Swimming Championship which has been slated for Abuja from November 29 to December 7, 2011.

Speaking on the championship which is expected to attract participation from 52 African countries, the honourary life President of the NSF and chairman of the fund-raising committee, Chief Olatokunbo Thomas said the amount required would take care of accommodation, transportation, medical, a secretariat and cater for the expected 1,176 swimmers and their officials throughout the duration of the championship.
“It is a massive project,” Chief Thomas started, “that’s why we are appealing to corporate sponsors, well-meaning individuals and state governments to assist in making the event a success. We must not put ourselves to shame.”
The FINA Vice President added that “we must organise ourselves very well in order to project the name of our country in good light to the international community.”
Chief Thomas said the federal government through the National Sports Commission had promised to renovate the venue and put everything right before the event. “Government told us they had no money for us but they will renovate the venue for us. That is a very important aspect of the event and we are grateful for that contribution,” the honourary life President of the Nigeria Swimming Federation said.

TB Joshua Vindicated Over 2011 Elections Cancellation

Prophet Temitope Balogun (TB) Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, had predicted that elections may not hold unless very serious prayers were offered.
In a story published in P.M.NEWS on 16 March 2011 and titled “Pray For The Election To Hold”, the Man in the Synagogue: as TB Joshua is known by his followers, prophesied that only ‘serious prayers will make April (elections) a reality’. The story reads in part: “With billions of naira already spent by thousands of candidates and many hours invested in campaign trains, a warning by the man who predicted the outcome of the Ghanaian election two years ago may send shivers down the spines of many”.

In the interview to be published in TheNews magazine, TB Joshua said : "About the upcoming elections, I have said many times that I don’t like talking about Nigeria again because all the messages God has given me about Nigeria, nobody has bothered to come and ask me ‘what are you saying? Explain more so that we know the next step to take.

“But, I know that we need a lot of prayers to make April a reality. I said it earlier and you can see what is happening now: bomb blasts all over the place, court cases all over the place and so on. So, like I said, we need a lot of prayers to make April a reality.”

Lesbians Spotted In Super Falcons ( How Romantic!)

The Super Falcons' Coach Eucharia Uche, has made a statement saying that there are lesbians in the country's female national team.

The statement which was made at the 'First Seminar on Women Football in Nigeria: Challenges and Prospects' says that: “It's a worrisome experience that some of our players indulge in lesbianism. Some of them go as far as renting rooms in hotels around the team's campsite where they go to satisfy their sin assembly.

She continued by saying “A good number of them even bring their male friends into the camp. It's a serious development that has been detrimental to the team's growth and performance.”

Tell me, will you date this lady?
She is a falcon player:

STEROIDS, SHEMALE FOREAL?
Meanwhile, statements from Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)'s Chief Media Officer, Ademola Olajire, who few years ago had echoed the ravaging scourge of 'women sleeping with their fellow women as love birds', could have laid to rest the veracity of the existence of lesbians among Falcons.

“We all know of these vices because lesbianism has become a thing of common knowledge that the female footballers no more hide it among themselves. However, those who indulge in the nasty act had promised to stop it and the NFF is putting measures in place to ensure that they keep to their promises,” the media officer stated.
