Adeboye pledges support for Kirikiri inmates

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has offered overstayed inmates and those awaiting trial at the Kirikiri Maximum Prison, Lagos, of his support in getting them out.

The Pastor, who fellowshipped with inmates at the Liberty Parish of the RCCG,inside the Kirikiri Maximum Prison, yesterday assured them of his unwavering interest in taking their plights to the authorities.
According to him, “there is no doubt that some of you here were wrongly incarcerated, and some others got here due to poor legal representations, and lots of those currently awaiting trail have stayed longer than you should if convicted. I have gotten your complaints and I will take your case to the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to the Governor of Lagos State and I will get the attention of the Attorney-General of the Federation. I have done that before and over 100 people were released and I am hopeful that God is listening and he would surely  show his mercies on you.”
Pastor Adeboye, who donated a power generating set to the parish, urged the inmates not to turn to their old ways when they are set free, stressing that God is a jealous God who would frown at  a turncoat.
The Deputy Controller in-charge of the Kirikiri Maximum Prison appreciated the visit of Pastor Adeboye  and the donation he made to the inmates.
