Spain Deports Sixty Nigerians (Again!!)

BARELY three days after 85 Nigerians were deported from Europe, another batch of 60 were, on Thursday, again deported by the Spanish government, thus bringing to 145 the number of Nigerians deported in the last three days.
The deportees, who arrived the Murtala Muha-mmed Airport, Lagos, aboard an Air Europa chartered flight, were brought in at 5.30 p.m.

They comprised 45 males and 15 females and were brought back for committing various immigration offences, ranging from drug trafficking to immigration-related offences.

According to sources in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the deportees, accompanied by law enforcement agent from Madrid, Spain, were received at the Lagos airport by their Nigerian counterparts and other law enforcement agents.

Those who were brought based on drug-related offences were handed over the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further interrogation, while those with immigration offences were taken away by the NIS for further interrogation.

Only on Tuesday, 85 were deported, comprising 56 males, 19 females and 10 children who were said to have committed several immigration offences, credit card fraud and other social vices.
